DISPOSAL OPTIONS

TYPICAL DISPOSAL

Did you know that 700,000 tonnes of dog waste is deposited across UK gardens and public areas each year? It is also a fact that the majority of it ends up in landfill, which costs councils £72.5 million per year. The biggest problem with this method is much is disposed of in plastic bags & sacks which do not readily break down in the environment. This adds unnecessary years to the waste breaking down naturally, with estimates for the time it takes ranging from 20 to 1000 years!

That's dog waste which contains 23 million types of bacteria and parasites, some harmful to our health and the environment, being prevented from naturally breaking down.

Dog waste is considered one of the top 10 nuisances and regularly complained about to councils.

OUR DISPOSAL

We are proud to be different!

We dispose of our collected waste through alternative, environmentally friendly means. We have now reached our original goal of turning waste into energy! Our waste is transported to an ERF (Energy Recovery Facility) which processes non-recyclable waste and supplies up to 14MWs of electricity to the National Grid: Enough to power around 20,600 local homes!
